Craft Emergency Relief Fund

The Craft Emergency Relief Fund is a non-profit tax exempt foundation which provides immediate support to professional craftspeople suffering career threatening emergencies such as fire, theft, illness and natural disaster. CERF is the only U.S. organization of it's kind. Interest free "loans" and other services are available to enable craft artisans to continue their work. In the first four years, 90 "loans" have been made to craftspeople in 28 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Who Can Apply?

Professional Craftspeople - meaning those whose primary source of income for at least the past year and at the time of the application, results from their personal production and sale of functional /decorative handcrafted objects.
Who Funds CERF?
-
Funds to support CERF's work come from craftspeople, craft fair producers, store and gallery owners, suppliers, collectors, foundations and the National Endowment for the Arts. Any size donation is gladly accepted.
