Wood Shelf Charm Cheese Mercantile is located in Charm, Ohio, in Holmes County, home of the largest Amish settlement in the world. Charm Cheese Mercantile is an old cheese house resurrected into a lovely new craft mall. Until 1985, cheese was actually manufactured in the lower level of the building. It was then that Guggisberg Cheese consolidated their two small factories into one large factory, just two miles north of the Mercantile. For many years, the building sat vacant until Eric and Julia Guggisberg decided to give the building a face lift and turn it into an exciting retail store featuring handcrafted merchandise. The building then became the Charm Cheese Mercantile, a craft mall with 4700 square feet on the top level alone. Inside you will find quality Amish made crafts, art, furniture, gifts, home decor items and accessories, plus many one-of-a-kind items.
