Dear Friends:I would like to introduce you to my new line of jewelry. Returning to an earlier date, this Victorian line has been created in brass by studying an era of beauty. Although, my jewelry looks weighty, it is unbelievably light, for it contains no nickle. Each unique piece is made of poured brass, antiqued through oxidation, then sealed with a beautiful shine. From here, I start to add and layer piece-on-piece into a collaged work of art, to be enjoyed by all ages.
Added to my collection, has been handpainted pieces. All of the creations are a little bit of history; they carry their own name from which the piece was inspired. "Condita," for example, was named after my Grandmother. The name in Italian means, "one without sin." This I see in the angel skin background. My Grandmother was a woman of great strength. Due to my Grandfather's early death, she had to rear ten children alone, ages one through eighteen. As I remembered the strength in my Grandmother's face, such is reflected in the cameo's profile. The piece is also adorned with lace filigree, another reflection of the gracious lady she was. President Roosevelt also realized this in his Governorship of New York State when he bestowed upon my Grandmother, "The Woman of the Year" Award. These are the types of personalities that each piece contains.
It's like a painting without a canvas; saying something very special. Recently added to the collection, are the handcut Austrian Swarovski crystals. Don't let the small designs fool you. Each necklace carries its own history, love, strength, and hope. Cloisonne is another addition, adorned with 24KT gold. Each piece is delicately patterened to capture the ambiance of yesteryear, old gardens, the fragrance of flowers, and the texture of lace.
