*~*~*Develop Customer Relationships*~*~* |
Develop Customer Relationships A number of big businesses that can afford to spend millions on market research have come to an important conclusion: customers often buy from people they know and like. That's why Walmart instructs employees to stop what they're doing and offer assistance any time a customer walks within 10 feet of them. It's a great way to make the customer feel as if they among people who care about their shopping experience. Take time to notice the relationship that you are developing with customers and prospects. I often take a little heat from others in this business because I still answer my mail the old fashioned way with a personal note to each customer who to writes directly to me. Sure, it's time consuming, but customers never fail to notice and appreciate the personal attention. While a question or inquiry may seem trivial to you. It is not to the person, or they would not have taken the time to contact you. Always respond quickly even if is to say you are checking it out and will have to get back to them with the full details. Always return phone calls or faxes within at least 24 hours. Think of ways you can connect with new customers, and especially with past customers. A relationship is an important marketing tool. And always remember, your existing customer is your most valuable asset. |
