Consumer Gift Spending Trends
How much do consumers spend on craft item gifts?
A recent NCA survey brought in some interesting numbers to consider:
- $20-$30 for an item for themselves, a relative or close friend.
- $10-$20 on an item meant for other adults or children on their gift list.
- $5-$10 on token gifts for co-workers, teachers, professionals, or service providers.
With the major gift buying season behind us, it is time to move on. Concentrate on the traditional gift market such as birthdays, weddings, anniversarys, graduations, and seasonal holidays like Valentine's Day,
Easter, Mother's, Father's and Grandparent's Day. The home decorating
market builds as the spring season unfolds, everyone wants to perk up their
homes and put the dreary winter months behind them.
